You can register to vote by filling out a paper voter registration form and mailing it to the county elections office. (PO Box 14500, Salem, OR, 97301)

Qualifications to Register to Vote?

To register to vote in Oregon, you must be:

• A U.S. citizen

• A resident of Oregon

• At least 16 years old

If you are not yet 18 years of age, you will not receive a ballot until an election occurs on or after your 18th birthday.

​When is the last day to register to vote?​

​A new registrant must submit their online registration by 11:59:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the 21st calendar day before an election to be eligible to vote in that election.​​

Who is my local State Representative or Senator?​

Go​ to the website oregonvotes.gov, click on "your info", enter your information and then click on the link that says elected officials.

What exactly does the county party do?

The county party works with local candidates to help them get elected. We hold fundraisers so that we may make donations to our local candidates. Local candidates include seats for the Oregon Legislature for candidates who live in Marion County, also Congressional District 5 and 6 which are Federal Representatives.

​How do I get involved? What can I do?

There are a number of volunteer activities that we need help with. Office, phone banking, events, ​communications, website maintenance, serve on a committee, ect.

​What is a PCP?

A PCP is a Precinct Committee Person. PCP's are their precinct representatives to the county party. Elected PCP's vote for county leadership Bi-Annually in November.

​How do I become a PCP?

You fill out an SEL 105 form and give it to our PCP coordinator, Jessica Snook. If qualified, you can be appointed at our monthly meeting by a vote of the body.​

​When are the monthly Marion County GOP meetings?

​Our monthly meeting is the third Thursday of each month. They are held at the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) 630 Hood St Ne, Salem, OR, 97301. Doors open at 6pm and the meeting starts at 6:30 pm.

Are there any Republican candidates that we do not support?

It is rare to not support a Republican candidate. ​

We did support a number of measures that have been on recent ballots.​

The next election for Governor will be in November of 2026.

You may donate by giving us cash or a check, also you may donate online on our website by clicking the donate button.

Are candidate signs free of charge?

​All local and state candidate signs are free (if you'd like to, we encourage making a small donation to the campaign.) From time to time, we do purchase signs and sell them to cover our cost.
